Sandwich Harbour is a remote bay on Namibia’s Atlantic coast, about 50–80 km south of Walvis Bay, inside the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Towering Namib dunes drop straight into the sea, and a shallow lagoon sits between the sand and the ocean. It is reached only by 4x4, along the beach and over the dunes.

You leave the Waterfront, pass the lagoon and oyster farms, and head toward Pelican Point, where thousands of Cape fur seals haul out on the sand.
